Accommodation
Kirchentag 2025
Meetings in group accommodation, singing in the underground or trombone choirs in the old town. You can only get the real Kirchentag feeling in the Kirchentag city! To fully enjoy the Kirchentag, you need accommodation on site.
Group accommodation
In order to accommodate all visitors to the Kirchentag, selected schools in Hanover are being converted into communal accommodation for five days. Tables and chairs will be removed to make room for camping mats and air beds. Each day starts with a communal breakfast before everyone swarms out to experience the Kirchentag and comes back together in their group accommodation in the evening to chat, rest and prepare for the next day. All group accommodation will be easily accessible by public transport - with the greatest possible accessibility on the way from the school to the next station.
Who can stay in group accommodation?
Anyone can register for group accommodation - there is no age limit. Groups are allocated their own classrooms depending on the size of the group, while individual travellers are accommodated separately according to gender. There is a maximum of 14 people per classroom, so that everyone has enough space. Overnight stays in the group accommodation are booked from Tuesday to Sunday – single nights are unfortunately not possible. The school's sanitary facilities are shared by all overnight guests. Shared showers are available in the schools and sports halls. If separate showers are not available, separate shower times will be organised for male and female guests.
Please bring on your own:
- Sleeping mat, air mattress or air bed and a sleeping bag or bedding
- Breakfast crockery: plate, cutlery, cup, cereal bowl and a drying towel
- personal belongings for the 5 days, including washing kit and towels.
How is group accommodation organized?
During the Kirchentag, each group accommodation is looked after by a volunteer team of helpers. This team is your contact person and also has the leading position on site.
In the International Centre (IZ) in the exhibition centre, there will be an exchange as well as advice, interpreting services and general information on events.
Breakfast is included in the overnight stay in group accommodation. This includes: tea, coffee, bread rolls, vegetarian spread and cheese. Breakfast cereals are offered in the form of a buffet. Private cooking is not possible in the group accommodation.
Lunch and dinner will not be provided. Please organise your own catering outside the group accommodation.
The group accommodation will be easily accessible by public transport such as underground, bus and tram.

Camping
There will once again be an offer for vanlife fans at the Kirchentag in Hanover. Super pitches for motorhomes, caravans or self-built vehicles are waiting for you near the trade fair. The organisation of this camping offer is in the hands of the Kirchentag and is carried out in cooperation with volunteers.
When can I book my pitch?
You can book your pitch when you register for the Kirchentag in connection with the booking of a participation or contributor ticket.
We do not yet know whether we can also make our tent friends a self-organised offer. We are still looking into this.
We therefore want to refer to the Hannover Marketing und Tourismus GmbH portal as early as possible.
