Groups

A lot of people visit the Kirchentag as a group. If you wish to travel to Hanover as a group, you’ll need the leader of the group to register all attendees online via "My Kirchentag".  The registration process might take some time, but you can save your progress and edit or change your information as much as you like before finally submitting your completed registration. The group leader will also be the person to receive your invoice and tickets.

Please check the information given regarding tickets and accomodation before starting your registration process – you'll need it to plan your group's journey.

Things to consider as the group leader

• Who do you want to travel with? Are you organizing the trip for a certain target group, for example a youth group, or is registration open for anyone? Are you responsible for attendees with disabilities? Are some or all of your group members minors? Depending on the answers to these questions your group might have special needs you’ll need to be aware of in the planning.
• How substantial do you want your (the group leaders) services to be? Are you simply in charge of booking tickets and accommodation or will you also organize travels to and from Hanover and be in charge of the complete group programme?
• If you are also organizing travels to and from Hanover make sure to plan in advance, especially if you need to book a coach or train.
• Will you visit the Kirchentag for the whole duration (five days) or just for a single day?
• If you plan on staying for more than one day: What kind of accommodation would be best suited for your group?
• What are the costs per person – for tickets, accommodation, transportation, etc.? Will attendees receive financial support, for example from your local church?
• If you and/or members of your group work in Germany, you might be able to apply for "Bildungsurlaub" at your job for the duration of the Kirchentag.
